March 2015 - Tips, eNews and More
We Have Moved To a New Location!
On Monday March 9th, we opened in our new office location! The new office, at 2184A Bloor St. West, is just down the street from our old one.
The new storefront location is in a much bigger space which will allow us to serve you even better.
We look forward to showing you pictures as soon as we can and it will be exciting to see all of your familiar faces in our new office!
March Break is almost here!
For those of you with kids still in school, March Break provides a great opportunity to schedule an appointment for a regular cleaning and overall checkup, if needed, while gearing up for summer.
Also be sure to ask about custom sport mouth guards if your kids are participating in any appropriate summer activities. You can request an appointment here.
March is Nutrition Month!
Every year, the 'Dieticians of Canada' select a theme for the month. This year it is Eating 9-to-5!
Rushed mornings, missed lunches, donut-filled meetings and a busy workday can make it difficult to eat well. Eating well at work can boost concentration, productivity and vitality. It can also reduce missed days of work by helping to improve overall health. Click here to learn more!
Have a fun and safe month,
Until next month, stay warm and keep smiling,
Neil Hahn D.D.S. and the High Park Dental Care Team

|Do You Need Oral Surgery?
Surgery required in the oral cavity is provided, in many cases, by the
general dentist. This includes tooth extraction, gum surgery, biopsies,
implant placement, draining infections and more. When appropriate, a
referral is made for treatment by a specialist. Various dental
specialists, such as periodontists, endodontists and oral and
maxillofacial surgeons, provide surgery in more complex cases.
Periodontists are generally concerned with treating the effects of gum
disease on the gum and bone supporting the roots of teeth. Endodontists
are generally concerned with controlling infection related to infected
tooth roots. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons (usually called oral
surgeons) are generally concerned with surgical treatment of the jaws and
the jaw joint. This may involve them in surgical procedures that include
the throat, chin and neck. There may be overlap between the different
specialties, for example in the field of dental implants.

Eggplant Parmesan is a fun meal to make and delicious to eat. Our favourite thing to do is to keep some leftovers and make great, hearty eggplant parmesan sandwiches!
This recipe directs you to bake the eggplant instead of the more traditional frying method which is both healthier and results in crispier eggplant.
